Today you turned 1 Year 4 Months.

Mila, as you turn another month older, we find ourselves in awe of your rapid growth. Each day you surprise us with something new, leaving us filled with anticipation and a touch of nostalgia as you continue to blossom.

This month has been bustling with excitement. You're starting to recognize colors like purple, yellow, and blue, adding them to your vibrant little world. And guess what? Your teacher told us how you’ve been helping to count from 1 to 10 in class! While we haven't seen this yet, the pride we feel is immense.

You’re also getting to know yourself a bit better, proudly pointing out your nose and eyes when asked. Every new word and concept you grasp shows just how curious and eager you are to learn.

However, it hasn’t all been easy. After your 15-month shots, you had a tough few days with a fever that just wouldn’t quit. It was hard on you, and of course, on us too. There were lots of tears and not much sleep, but you showed us how strong you can be.

The most exciting part of this month? Your incredible burst of confidence. When we go to the grocery store, you strut around like you own the place. It’s the cutest thing! But it’s also a little bittersweet for me, as you don’t seem to want to hold Papa's hand as much anymore. You’re showing us every day that you’re a big girl, ready to take on the world all by yourself.

Watching you assert your independence is a vivid reminder of how quickly time passes and how much you are growing. Your first steps away from needing my hand are not just about you getting around on your own, but also about the courage and joy you find in discovering new abilities. This month, you've shown us just how capable you are, and it's teaching us to let go a little, trusting in your strength and our guidance, always just a step behind.
