My Precious Mila,
July 30, 2023

Today you turned 2 months old.
  9 lbs 0 oz
  21.77 inches

Today, you complete two months in our world, and every single day has been a journey bursting with joy and love. It's hard to believe you've already been part of our world for that long, bringing joy and love every day. Watching you grow and change has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

We've added a new chapter to our story this month - introducing you to the bottle. You embraced this change with open arms, or should I say, open mouth! This development means that I now get to participate in your feeding times. And let me tell you, being able to nourish you brings an immense amount of joy to my heart. As you latch onto the bottle and drink slowly, your eyes fixate on mine with such intensity. It feels as if you're trying to unravel the mysteries of the universe, one gaze at a time.

Your stomach issues have gotten so much better as your mom eliminated dairy from her diet. The decision to eliminate dairy from her diet is a testament to her unwavering love and dedication. She's the embodiment of strength and grace, and I desire for the day when she can guide you to step into her powerful footsteps.

Our mornings have now settled into a new normal for me. After feeding you, I hold you in my arms outside as we watch the sunrise, creating the most perfect way start to our days.

The cutest part of this month has been watching you learn to smile! You have slowly learned this, and it is the sweetest thing. I do everything I can to make you smile throughout the day. Each smile feels like a gift, a tiny reward that lights up my day.

We've also had our share of special occasions this month. Celebrating my birthday with you was a unique experience. And then there was July 4th - fireworks bursting in the night sky, and you sleeping peacefully through it all as aff aff kept a watchful eye.

If you ever develop an affinity for patriotic songs, remember it started with me. In my quest to find child-friendly songs, I resorted to singing you the National Anthem to soothe you to sleep!

Bath times have turned into our special bonding moments. I still hold your hand as we navigate through the water and bubbles. You're getting more comfortable, starting to enjoy the sensation of water on your skin. But dressing you afterward is an entirely different story! Amidst your protests, your mom and I, with laughter and sometimes tear, try to dry and dress you swiftly.

Another major milestone this month was you are sleeping in your crib all by yourself throughout the night. We tried and tried to get you to fall asleep next to us in the bassinet, but all night you would complain how you just want to be by yourself.

With all the love in the world,

Your Papa
