Today you turned 6 months old.
  15 lbs 2 oz
  25.98 inches

Six months already and what a journey this month has been! It started with a bang as you caught RSV from one of your classmates. Just as we were getting you adjusted to being in daycare, we had to pull you out for a week and half so you can get over the cough, congestion and super runny nose you had. Mom and I caught it too, and it hit us harder than it did you. 2 weeks later as I write this, we're still shaking off the last bits of it, but your quick recovery was a relief. This unexpected break from daycare lead to a special week with Baba, who was secretly thrilled for the extra time with you. Her joy in caring for you, even under these circumstances, was a heartwarming sight. She cherished every moment and even joked about becoming your full-time babysitter. Your bond with her grows stronger by the day.

You celebrated your first Halloween and Thanksgiving. Halloween was a quiet affair, since we did not get that many trick-or-treaters we kept you on your schedule and put you to bed early. Thanksgiving was a lively and heartwarming celebration with our family in Houston. During this time, your Aunt Sheena, came up with the cutest name for you to call her "She She". You also had a memorable time finger painting with Myomi, a fun and colorful activity that you thoroughly enjoyed. Surrounded by loved ones, your joy and presence added a special warmth to the holiday, making it a Thanksgiving to remember.

Watching you grow is a daily wonder. This month, you've mastered the art of handling your soska, a small but significant milestone. Now, in the middle of the night, instead of us trying to give you your soska without waking you up or turning on the lights, we can just put it in your hand and you do the rest. And your newest skill – blowing raspberries – is as adorable as it is hilarious. It's your special way of expressing disapproval, especially during meal times, turning our kitchen into a playful mess.

Speaking of meals, you've resumed your culinary adventures with solid foods. Butternut squash and bananas are your favorites, while peas, well, they're still an acquired taste. Your expressions as you navigate these new flavors are priceless, painting a vivid picture of your growing palette.

As each day passes, your personality shines brighter. Here's to the unfolding chapters of your life, filled with more laughter, love, and, undoubtedly, a few more raspberry-tinted moments.

With all the love in the world,

Your Papa
