My Precious Mila,
September 30, 2023

Today you turned 4 months old.
  11 lbs 14 oz
  24.21 inches

Your third month has truly been a whirlwind of excitement, surprises, and beautiful firsts. It began with a grand adventure – your very first vacation to Houston! This trip wasn't just any regular outing; it was special for more reasons than one. Your Mommy and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary, a moment made even more memorable with you by our side. Your Dad's entire family showered you with love, and the highlight was the surprise visit from Grandma and Grandpa, all the way from Florida. To see their eyes light up upon seeing you, the newest generation, was truly heartwarming.

Houston also brought about another significant introduction: your soon-to-be best friend, Iza. Her parents, Jose and Maria, share a history with us. Your Dad and Jose have shared over 25 years of friendship since they were youngsters of 12. With a bond that has stood the test of time, it's my heartfelt wish that you and Iza foster a bond just as deep and enduring. Life often moves in fast-forward, and true, long-lasting friendships like the one your Dad and Jose have are rare treasures.

Amidst these experiences, your own milestones made this month all the more special. In Houston, you discovered your voice, cooing the sweetest sounds that remind me of a gentle owl, chanting "Owww! Owww!". The anticipation of hearing your first proper word keeps growing, and I await that moment with bated breath.

And, as if you hadn't already showcased your rapid development, you rolled over! That significant achievement had your Mom and me beaming with pride. Having captured that special moment on video makes me feel incredibly fortunate. It's a memory that will forever be close to my heart, a reminder of your early days and relentless spirit.

Our mornings have also taken a fresh turn. We switched from our soothing sunrise watches to invigorating walks. This change in routine, one that you've embraced with your customary enthusiasm, has seen us walking 1.5 miles not once, but twice daily. Should you develop a lifelong love for these walks, you know whom to thank! Besides, these walks are more than just a change of scenery. They're my preparation for the days ahead, when Mom returns to work and it'll be up to me to ensure you're well taken care of and reach daycare on time.

Speaking of daycare, the news of securing a spot for you at our preferred school was the cherry on top this month. You'll embark on this new journey on October 16th, a day doubly special as it's also Momma's birthday.

Watching you evolve this month has been nothing short of magical. Every day brings with it a new discovery, a fresh moment to cherish, and endless love. Here's to many more months and years of incredible adventures together.

With all the love in the world,

Your Papa
