My Precious Mila,
April 30, 2024

Today you turned 11 months old.
  18 lbs xx oz
  xx (xx cm)

As you approach your first year, this eleventh month has been as eventful as it has been delightful, marked by milestones and a few challenges along the way. Each day with you still brings new surprises and joys, and watching you navigate the world in your own unique way fills me with pride.

Just when we thought we were past the season of illnesses, having enjoyed a healthy couple of months, you managed to catch Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. It's a tough little bug that even Mom caught from you, leading to a rough week for her (and me having to take care of both of you).

This month, we celebrated your first Christian Easter, a festive and joyful time filled with family and love. Watching you experience these traditions for the first time adds a layer of excitement and happiness to our celebrations and starts new traditions that are uniquely ours.

Your smile has transformed significantly this month as well—with seven teeth now (four on top and three on the bottom) Each new tooth adds to your charming smile and reminds us just how quickly you are growing.

Another adorable milestone is your first freckle, spotted on your right hand above your ring finger. It's a tiny mark, but it's uniquely yours, and discovering it felt like finding a small treasure.

You've now transitioned to having just one bottle at bedtime, and throughout the day, you've adeptly mastered drinking from a sippy cup, a clear sign of your growing independence. This change is bittersweet for me; it's a reminder of how quickly you are growing up. While I recognize and celebrate your milestones, each step you take towards independence is a poignant reminder of the swift passage of time.

Mila, each month with you is a chapter filled with stories of growth, resilience, and discovery. I cherish each moment, each milestone, and look forward to what the next month will bring as we near your very first birthday.

With all the love in the world,

Your Papa
